Adrian Byerly's Obituary
Service for Adrian Byerly, 54, of Lufkin will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11:00, a.m., in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Saturday morning visitation will be held from 9 a.m. till the time of service. Mr. Byerly was born on October 3, 1967, in Houston, and died on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Lufkin.
Adrian Byerly was born on October 3, 1967, in Houston, Texas to Leon Hall and Kathy Byerly. At a young age, he moved to Corrigan, Texas to live with Johnnie and Fronie McQueen who reared him to adulthood. As a young man, Adrian loves playing basketball as well as running track and he participated in both sports a the high school level. He graduated from Corrigan Camden High School in the Class of 1986.
After high school, Adrian spent most of his adult life in Houston, Texas. He began his work career as a Certified Medication Aide and later transitioned into the hospitality industry aiding travelers as a Hotel Concierge. Upon leaving the hotel business, he changed course and ultimately spent many years on the road delivering freight as a truck driver. His driving career ended in recent years when he began experiencing health issues that caused him to need frequent dialysis.
With his new treatment schedule in mind, Adrian chose to return to East Texas and to undergo dialysis in Lufkin in order to be closer to his mother who supported him throughout his illness.
Adrian is survived by his mother: Kathy Byerly, Brothers: Eric (Shana) McQueen, Cedric (Tammie) Gilder, Mario (Yvonne) McGowen, Leon (Chenoa) Hall; Sister: Stephanie (Ronald Young) McNeil, Uncles: Ricky (Sheryl) Byerly, Fred (Tina Anders), Derrick (Yvonne) Hall, and Roosevelt Hall, Aunts: Venessa McKenzie, Sabrina Fitzgerald, Joyce Allen, Charlotte Wyatt, Alma Hood, and Kathy Hall along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father: Leon Hall, Grandparents: Daniel and Dorothy Byerly, Roosevelt Hall Sr. and Eva Hardy and his Aunt: Judy Spriggs, and Uncle Dewayne Caldwell.
