He attended Corrigan High School where he played Basketball and Football, and Baseball until he broke his leg during football, at that time his parents told him no more sports. He loved fishing. He helped his father build their church in Shreveport LA. He was a member of Hodge Memorial under the Leadership of his father Bishop Hodge and Pastor Jimmy Hadnot. He loved teaching Sunday School and praising the Lord. He will beat his Tambourine so much until the symbols would fall off on the floor. He loved the people he never would meet a stranger. He had an arrogant personality. He had a stern look, were a lot of people did not know how to take him. He loved his wife, grandchildren, children, and family. He was a farmer and raised Hogs, he worked so hard trying to establish everything on his farm that needed to be done.
