I met Ms. Althea while working at Brookshire Brothers during my time at SFA. We worked together in the deli and bakery, and I would also often see her at the campus cafeteria. She was truly one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever known.
The last time I saw her was the summer (2016) before I graduated. I remember running into her at the cafeteria and giving her the biggest hug. I’ve thought about her often over the years and always intended to go back to Nac for the sole purpose of visiting her again, but I waited too long.
I’m deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was such a sweet, genuine, and incredible lady who always made me laugh. I will never forget her. May your soul rest in peace Ms. Althea.
