I met Ms. Althea while working at Brookshire Brothers during my time at SFA. We worked together in the deli and bakery, and I would also often see her at the campus cafeteria. She was truly one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever known.

The last time I saw her was the summer (2016) before I graduated. I remember running into her at the cafeteria and giving her the biggest hug. I’ve thought about her often over the years and always intended to go back to Nac for the sole purpose of visiting her again, but I waited too long.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was such a sweet, genuine, and incredible lady who always made me laugh. I will never forget her. May your soul rest in peace Ms. Althea.

I did not know until last night that Althea had passed. What a wonderful woman! She always had that big smile. She brought joy every where she went. She was such a hard worker. Yet she faced so many obstacles along the way in her work. I never felt that she got all the good she deserved. But she gave so many good things to others! She gave me her friendship all those many years. I met her when we were football moms. We just connected. And then she worked for a long time right next to my office. She loved my husband Joe. He would come in for a cup of coffee but also he came to see that bright light that she was. I'm so very sorry that Revlon and his
father have lost her way so soon. We are all the better for having known Althea!
