Services for Annie Cole, 81, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Goodwill Church-Lufkin, 812 Lufkin Ave. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary.
Annie Jean Taylor Cole was bom on June 4, 1944 in Luflcin, Texas to the parentage ofthe late Maggie Roberts Taylor and Daniel Taylor Sr.
Religiously affiliated with Memorial Chapel CME church in the Cedar Grove Community in LukinTexas. Later, she was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of the Dunbar Class of 1963. Her livelihood consisted ofher love for the Lord, her children and grandchildren. Annie never met a stranger and she always met you with a smile.
On October 23, 2025, Annie Jean Taylor Cole, made her transition from this earthly world to her heavenly reward.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Sherman Cole, one great grandson,.Jordan Swint, Parents: Maggie Roberts Taylor and Daniel Taylor Sr., Siblings:C.B. Haffert, Ethel Stubblefield, George Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Mandy Taylor, Daniel Taylor Jr., Robert Taylor, JewelineTanner, and Finnis Taylor.
Two daughters: Carolyn Renfro (Angelo Bryant), Cheppelle Martin (Kevin Martin), Four Grandchildren: Latesia Renfro, Jared Renfro, Chantelle Powell, and Joshua Powell. One great granddaughter: Madisynn Swint. A host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
