Annie Louise Davis' Obituary
Services for Annie Louise "Perri", Davis, 69, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Annie Louise Davis the third child of six children born to Ozell Hood Davis and Willie Ayers Davis on April 4, 1950, in Lufkin, Texas. Annie graduated from Emmitt Scott High School in Texas and furthered her education by attending Prairie View A&M University and Texas Southern University.
She was a faithful employee with the East Texas Medical Center until she decided to further her education at Tyler Junior College and there; she received her Associate's Degree in Computer Science. Annie returned to Lufkin, Texas to care for her mother and to be closer to her family.
On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Annie answered her call from the Lord in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by both parents and one niece Alvinia Henry
Left in God's care and to cherish her memory are brothers: Thomas Davis, Ronald Davis and Donald Davis, all of Lufkin, Texas; sisters: Willie Marie Meals and Marilyn Banks both of Lufkin, Texas and Ruth (Eddie) Jenkins of Houston, Texas. Although she had no biological children, she has a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews that she helped raised as her own. Annie will be greatly missed.
