Archie Faye Spencer, Our Dearest, Sister, Aunt and Friend left the cares of this world on August 02, 2022, to receive her just eternal reward. Archie was the first daughter to be born into the union of Willie and Margaret (Daniels) Spencer, August 25, 1943. She was a beautiful and loving child and grew into a woman of greater beauty and integrity. Archie united with her family church Mayo Baptist Church at a young age. She continued her Christian Journey at the Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas where she was dedicated volunteer to many outreach ministries until her demise.
Archie attended the Nigton Elementary and Jr. High, H.G. Temple High School and Prairie View A&M University where she received her Bachelors and Master's Degree in Education. Archie was an educator at Durkee Elementary for 38 years and at Moreno Elementary for 2 years. She was a dedicated and recognized educator with the Houston Independent School District for 40 Years.
Archie was lover of knowledge, she would read for increased wisdom and pleasure. She was an accomplished inherited and self-taught soul food cook. She and her sisters enjoyed shopping and traveling down through the years and believe it or not she loved video games. After the passing of her Mom she became the Family's Monarch. Her siblings and numerous nieces and nephew loved her dearly and she loved them the same.
Archie and her Sister Lela (Sis) lived together for 50 years. I guess you could say they were the "eight years' apart twins". Where you saw one you saw the other. They were both educators and over the past 50 years they were never apart.
Archie is proceeded in death by her parents, Willie and Margaret, Brothers, Charles Sr., Melvin Sr., Willie Sr., Elmer Mark (Brother in Love) Leroy and Freddie Spencer Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory Her Brother, Barney Spencer Sr., Sisters, Loraine Spencer Mark and Lela (Sis) Spencer, Sisters in Love Evelyn, Lilian, Morteal, Vernell, Elizabeth, Stella Spencer, God Daughter Karen Mark, well over a 100 of nieces / nephews and numerous loving cousins. Archie had many friends over the course of her life that she cherished dearly but these four were her angels on earth, Mary Tyler, Betty Evans, Pam Crutcher and Rosalind Brown.
Take your Sweet Rest our Dearest.
