I had the privilege and blessing to talk with and listen to my cousin Ms. Bennie Ruth Johnson weeks before she passed. What made it so very special was the family history and a few stories she shared. She loved my father, O'Hara L. Scurlock, and her talk made me so happy and comforted me because last year in 2020 he too, passed on New Year's Day, and as I discovered after after a conversation with another cousin, it was close to the same time. So now, two angels are together, smiling and walking around heaven all day.
All of my love to my family who are so wonderful!
