Betty do Coutee was born to the late Eli and Edna Coutee on September 20, 1958.
Betty was a graduate of Lufkin's Dunbar High School in 1978. Betty's first job was at Angelina College and then worked at Village Cafeteria for a number of years. Her last place of employment was PlusTex poultry.
She was a devoted, faithful, powerful, praying Christian woman. She was a great mother, granny, aunt, sister, and friend to many. She would take anyone in and if they were comfortable she was too. She raised many children and loved her family dearly.
She loved garage sales, fishing, and hosting family gathering. She loved praying and being a beacon light for God "her Poppa" as she called him. For having a conversation with her God had to be brought up or to her there was no conversation good or bad. She believed that nothing was going to be talked about without God being in this mist.
