Betty L. Hamilton's Obituary
Services for Betty L. Hamilton, 77, of Diboll, will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 Pine St., Diboll, TX. Burial will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll, TX. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary.
Betty Lou Wheeler-Hamilton was born on September 10, 1941. She was the fifth of eight children born to the parentage of W.T. Wheeler and Bertha Moss of Trinity, Texas.
Trinity was her home until her friend introduced her brother to her, and Betty Lou had her sights set on Donald Ray Hamilton. Betty and Donald Ray were married on March 16, 1961 and made their residence Diboll, Texas. Betty had been employed at Temple Lumber Company in Diboll, Texas for a short period of time later becoming a Homemaker. Together, she and Donald Ray raised four children.
On March 16, 2019 three days after her anniversary, Betty Lou Hamilton closed her eyes one last time and bid us all farewell.
Betty Lou was preceded in death by: her parents, W.T. Wheeler and Bertha; Brother, J.T. Wheeler, Sr.; Sisters, Ella Jane Wheeler Ross, Annie WheelerWoodard and Lella Mae Wheeler-Fields; Children, Ricky Renault Haywood and Taff G. Overststreet.

Her loving husband, Donald Ray Hamilton; Sons, Donald Ray, Jr. (Spouse Veronica), Baron "Peanut;" Brothers, Homerzill Wheeler (Mattie) Houston, W.T. Wheeler (Ruthie) of Houston; Sister, Cynthia Archie (Larry) Huntsville; Granddaughter, Lu Lu Haywood and twenty one other grandchildren; Many great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
