Beverly (Lee) Canada was born on April 18, 1965, in Lufkin, TX to the late Elroy Lee Sr. and Dorothy Freeman Lee. She grew up in the tight-knit community of Nigton, TX where she played basketball, ran track, and was a cheerleader for Apple Springs High School. She graduated Class of 1983. After graduation she moved to Tyler, TX, and married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Billy Canada Jr. in August of 1983, and to that union, 2 children, Melody & Broderick were born. She worked at Goodwill Industries in Tyler for 10 years before returning to Lufkin where she worked at the plywood mill in Corrigan, now Georgia Pacific, for 25+ years.
Beverly was devoted to her family and everyone that knew her. She was loved by all and her doors were always open. FAMILY was everything to her. She was the pillar of our family, and her presence will be profoundly missed. Yet, we take solace in the memories we shared and the love she bestowed upon us. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever live on in our hearts.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; Elroy Lee Sr. and Dorothy Freeman Lee, sisters; Pamela Lee and Contessa Lee, niece; Chastity Jefferson-Scott, and mother-in-law, Hattie Canada.
