Funeral services for Billy Ray Davis,64, of Apple Springs, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday November 27, 2021, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens. Mr. Davis was born on September 27, 1957, in Kountze, and died on Friday, November 12, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. Billy Ray Davis, was born on September 27, 1957 in Kountze, Texas, to the parentage of Ed and Lillian Davis.
He was a graduate of Lufkin High School, and upon graduation attended Angelina College where he graduated receiving a Certificate in Auto Engineering. Later he relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he was employed by Ford Manufacturing Company. He had also been employed by Texas Foundry for many years, as well as a Department Manager at Fish Borne Dry Cleaning Company.
Billy began his spiritual walk at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas later he became a member of the Church of God in Christ in Nigton, Texas under the leadership of Elder Johnathan Deason. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Tilisa Cannon (Willie) Shreveport, Louisiana and Danielle Coleman, Dallas, Texas; 8 Grandchildren, Jawar, Cedarius, Cedarika, Jamarian of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bryson and Brooklyn Davis, Houston, Texas and Trudy and Tylah of Lufkin, Texas; 1 great-grandchild, Amari; Sisters: Ardella Davis, Lillian Marlene Davis; Brothers, Theodore Melvin Davis, Eddie Joe Davis (Janis), Bryant Davis (Lola); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
