Graveside service for Bobbie Cannon,75, of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the Huff Creek Cemetery in Jamestown, TX.
Mrs. Cannon was born on September 13, 1945, and died on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in Lufkin. Mrs. Bobbie Jean Cannon was born in Jamestown, Texas to L.S. Owens (Deceased). She began her education in Jamestown, then she and her family moved to Lufkin, Texas at an early age. She graduated from Dunbar Senior High School in the Class of 1963. Her education continued at Tyler
Barber College, Tyler Texas, then Massey Business College in Lufkin, Texas and later completed business college in Houston, Texas. She had a long career as a secretary with the Houston Police Department. Mrs. Cannon was also employed by the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. Bobbie Cannon leaves her siblings Clotel Malone and Bill Wallace (Amy) to mourn her passing, along with a large extended family of neices, nephews and cousins. Deceased siblings are Laureatha Owens, Roosevelt Adams, Sr., Maxine Brown, Lucille Rogers, and Dorothy Coutee.
