Service for Calvin Jackson, 67 will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church,920 N. Raguet, Lufkin. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens.
Calvin Lawrence Jackson (Tick), was born on May 12, 1956 in Portland Oregon, to the parentage of Ola Mae Jackson and James Jackson ( Country).
Calvin grew up and lived in Lufkin (Keltys) for years, Nacogdoches, Texas, and then relocated to Portland Oregon. He also resided in Seattle Washington, Cedar Hill and the Woodlands with his daughter, Latoshia Jackson. Calvin passed away on October 26, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas. Calvin also attended Lufkin High School.
He was a dedicated Christian, serving as a Deacon under the leadership of Pastor Derrick White. He loved PE and when in school, he played football, basketball, and enjoyed riding bikes. While in his younger adult years, he worked for Pilgrims Pride for many years. He loved to cook (and did it very well), dancing, and going on long walks. He loved the outdoors as well and loved the color green. Calvin was a huge Oakland Raiders Fan. Calvin was engaged to his (Fiancee) Tycia Rodgers of Lufkin, Texas.

Grandchildren, Cearius Harris, JaQuaylin Lockett, Cedric Harris, Jr., Gabriel Polk; A wealth of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; His Best friends: Kenneth Williams Sr., and William Smith.
Calvin is preceded in death by: His mother, Ola Mae Jackson; Cousin and best friend, Eneree Cranford, Sr.
