Our hearts broke as this life came to a close last Sunday morning for Precious. She has gone to join her mother Lela Mae Kirksey, Sister, Lakena "Twinkie" Kirksey and Aunt Margaret "Dillion" Bland to rest in God's loving arms.
Left to carry her memory in our hearts after her death: brothers: Curtis Gilbert, Darrell Malone, Dalton "Duke" Malone, Johnny Kirksey Jr., and Anthony Kirksey; Her very special aunt, Lillie "Tip" Jones and Uncle Therman Jones, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
When Cashena was born, her beloved aunt Dillion gave her the nickname Precious. It had been 14 years since a baby had come into the family. She was our "Precious" baby. She grew up in Lufkin under the guidance and care of Aunt Tip (Mama) and Uncle Therman (Daddy) along with Felicia, Wesley "Bucky" and Therman Jr. She moved back to San Augustine with Aunt Dillion in High School and graduated from San Augustine High School in 1993. Precious spent most of her adult life in the Dallas area where she became a sought-after Apartment Manager. Precious lived her life to the fullest and loved her family and friends dearly. Bless your heart Precious girl, may your soul be at peace.
