Cecil "Runt" Sheffield's Obituary
Services for Cecil Sheffield, 77, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Goodwill Baptist Church. Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary. Mr. Sheffield was born on September 22, 1943, and died on Thursday, September 16, 2021, in his residence.
Cecil " Runt " Sheffield was born September 22, 1943, to the late Elbirta ( Dick ) Sheffield and Carrie Lee (TJ) Pugh Sheffield in Kennard, Texas. He was the four children of Elbirta and Carrie Lee Sheffield. " Runt" was raised in Ratcliff, Texas, and moved to Lufkin, Texas where he lived most of his life.
Preceding him in death: Parents, ELbirta Sheffield, Carrie Lee Sheffield, brother, Embria ( Bud) Sheffield, sister, Jessie ( Jackie ) Sheffield Hamilton, Justin Sheffield Poole, and Elberta Marie ( Sal ) Sheffield Solomon; and son Jerry Sheffield Sr.
" Runt" began working various jobs until he found his profession as a truck driver, driving the various commercial vehicles from dump trucks and 18-wheelers pulling flatbeds and log trailers; until he became the entrepreneur of CC&S Trucking Company until retirement April 2020.
Cecil leaves to cherish his memory: Children: Antonio ( Dana ) Sheffield, Cecil T ( Sheila ) Sheffield, Paula Sheffield, Benita ( Albert ) Sheffield, Patrina ( Marcus ) Sheffield Mitchell, Michael Sheffield, and Cecily ( Anthony ) Sheffield Givens.
Grandchildren: Jerry Sheffield, Jr, Briana Sheffield, Carrie Lee Sheffield, Chelsea Sheffield, Alexis Sheffield, Morgan Sheffield, LaCole Sheffield; Cecil K. Sheffield, Ja Kobe Sheffield, De Antrey Fred Loche, Cecil D. Loche; JaCorian Duffield, Nyles Duffield; Nia Mitchell, Mia Mitchell; Aliyah Sheffield, Michael T. Sheffield II, Mykayla Sheffield; Anthony Givens III, Cydney Givens, and Addysyn Givens.
Great-Grandchildren: Jermaine Sheffield, Myrical Sheffield, D'Vontay Blouin, Madison Loche
