Funeral service for Charles Ruth Davis, 78, of San Augustine will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3 , 2026, at Spirit of Love Baptist Church, 2195 Hwy 96, in San Augustine . Burial will follow in the Boggy Cemetery, CR 219, in San Augustine.
Charles Ruth Davis, was born on May 18, 1947 in San Augustine, Texas, to the late Bertie Ree Roberts and L.C. Davis.
He received his formal education from the San Augustine Independent School District. Charles had been employed as a Ranch Hand taking care of cattle, and by a Hwy. Construction Company. His favorite hobby was collecting Rooster decorations. He was also affectionately called "Rooster" by his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by his family.
On December 27, 2025, Charles Ruth Davis made his transition from this earthly life in Nacogdoches, Texas.

His brothers and spouses, Howard and Angela Davis of Baytown, Texas, Dereck Edwards and Michael Edwards of Orange, Texas; His sisters, Laura Edwards of Nacogdoches, Texas, Shawanna Edwards and Burnadine Edwards ofOrange, Texas; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
