Christine Booker's Obituary
Services for Christine Booker, 96, of Lufkin will be scheduled at 12 noon, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 Scarborough St, Lufkin. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens. Ms. Christine Booker, was born on September 26, 1926 in Conroe, Texas to the late Luther Booker Jr. and Susie Booker.
She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas. Her livelihood consisted of her employment at Memorial Hospital where she worked as a LPN until her retirement on September 30, 1988. Christine enjoyed fishing, working in her yard, cooking and planting flowers. She also was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 114. She was called Tina by everyone that knew her.
On January 9, 2023, Ms. Christine Booker made her transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home.

Booker, and ( Tammie Phillips-Booker) of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren, Veronica M. Garner (Gregory), Vontrese Scott, Tanja Scott, Christopher Miller (Mysterie B. Miller), James E. McGhee, Jr. (Kimberly McCaskey-McGhee) Kadron Johnson and Kayla Armstrong. Great-Grandchildren, Amirah Jordan, Xavier Jordan, Jazmine Green, Mhylez Scott, Laifa Scott, Jada Garner, Devin Garner, Jasmine McCaskey, Dylan McCaskey, Cameron McGhee, Michael McGhee, Christian Miller, Maddox Miller, Makenzie Miller, Christopher Miller, Kynedi Johnson, Kaylee Johnson and Kinsley Armstrong; Alex Penson, Thomas Boykins and Buford Hadnot as her own seven children.
Ms. Booker was preceded in death by: Her brothers, Duncan Booker, Leroy Booker; Sister, Luther Ola Rhodes and son-in-law, James E. McGhee; Her granddaughter, Francisca A. Booker and best friend Lillie Mae Pierce.
