The funeral service for Mr. Cleveland Simmons 87, of Lufkin is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Simpson Chapel Baptist Church,23488 FM 227 East, Tadmore, TX. Burial will follow in McKelvey Cemetery.Cleveland William Simmons, was born in Fodice, Texas on July 30, 1937, to the late Lola Mae Martin and Cleveland William Simmons, Sr.
C.W. attended school in Corrigan, Texas, and was a graduate of Dunbar High School with the Class of 1958 in Lufkin, Texas, where he played football. He loved riding motorcycles and repairing his beloved trucks. He had been employed by Lufkin Industries retiring, after 42 years of service. He loved to barbeque for family events.
On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Mr. Cleveland William Simmons, Jr. departed this life at his residence.
Preceded in death by: His parents, Cleveland Simmons Sr. and Lola Mae Martin. Sisters, Lillie Holman, Cora Carter; Sister-in-law, Helen Simmons; A brother, Ezell Simmons.
Survivors: His wife, of40 years, Brenda J. Ross, Simmons; Children; Sons, Cioffi Binky (Tiffany), Johnny Simmons (Angela), Anthony Simmons (Sharon), Anthony Watts (Bettie); Daughters: Angela McKelvey (Randy), Notasha Harding-Williams (Kirk); Special daughter: Shronda Mask; 25 grand-children; 25 great-grandchildren; Siblings: Sisters: Doris Reed (Leon), Michelle Smith (William); Brother, Freddie B. Pennington.
