Services for Doris Murphy, 51, is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Our Father's House of Faith, 518 S. Third Street, Lufkin. Burial will follow in the Nigton Cemetery. Mrs. Murphy was born on January 24, 1972, in Lufkin and died Saturday July 22, 2023 in Humble, TX.
Doris Lynn Murphy was born January 24, 1972 in Lufkin, Texas to the Late Paralee ( Cockrell ) and Willie Murphy, and transitioned to rest with the Lord on July 22 , 2023 in Humble Texas. Doris was the youngest of 12 children. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was baptized at Ligon Chapel Church in Nigton Texas. She graduated from Apple Spring High School in Apple Springs, Texas. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant License, where she worked at a nursing home, and did home health. Her love for her patients was unmatched.
She was a loving mother of three children, Robert Murphy of Humble, Texas, Randall Murphy of Lufkin Texas, and her daughter Ladaisha Murphy of Houston Texas. She loved and adored her grandkids Hunter, Randall Jr, Yoshua, Ar'Miya, and Serenity.
She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and attended Mayo Baptist where she was very active and did whatever she could do for the church when asked and more. She loved people and did whatever she could to help others.
She leaves to cherish her memories of life with: Sons, Robert Murphy, Randall Murphy; Daughter
Ladaisha Murphy. Grandchildren: Hunter, Ar'Miya, Randall Jr, Serenity; Brothers Rufus Cockrell, Willie Murphy, Lester Murphy, Melvin Hicks, Jimmie Murphy; Sisters Gloria Wallace, Mary Moore, Gail
Mitchell, Cindy Gardner, and Lorene Matts, Shirley Dixon, Rose McGhee (Joseph) ; A host of nephews and nieces that all were special to her. Great nephews and nieces, cousins and a host of friends. Special friends, for nearly her lifetime: Denise Allen Teagle, Sonya Hunt, Chaley Lee, Sheila Gray.
Doris is preceded in Death by her parents Paralee and Willie Murphy, and her grandson Yoshua Murphy; Two brothers Larry Cockrell and Mark Murphy.
