Doris Ann Oliphant's Obituary
Services for Doris Ann (Hubbard) Oliphant, 58, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 Pine St., Diboll, TX. Burial will follow in the Diboll Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 at Colonial Mortuary. Mrs.Dorise Hubbard Oliphant, was born on December 20, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Charles and Alma Hubbard.
After relocating from Chicago to Diboll, Texas and received her formal education from the Diboll Independent School District. She then pursued a career at Champion Plywood Plant in Corrigan, Texas for several years. She later became employed by Pilgrims Pride in Lufkin, Texas. She later met and married her loving and caring husband, Stephen Oliphant becoming a housewife. Dorise joined The Church of The Living God PGT in Diboll, Texas where she was a active member in early life. Dorise recently moved her membership to Love Fellowship Worship Center North in Lufkin, under the leadership of Pastor Yolanda Byerly. Her livelihood also consisted of attending church on a regular basis, spoiling her grandchildren, cooking, and spreading the gospel and being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Her loving husband, Stephen Oliphant of Lufkin, Texas; Children, Asaka Hubbard (LaTasha) of Houston, Texas; Daughter, Gloria Hubbard and Jocelyn Hubbard of Diboll, Texas; Siblings: Loretta Hubbard, Vaughn Hubbard (KeTavia), Donnie Hubbard (Brenda), John Lee Hubbard and Debra Hubbard; A Special nephew, Jacorian; Many nieces, other nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-inlaw; Special friends, Esma Gordon, Archie Cornish, Marie Deason, Jackie Johnson, Joyce Jackson, Marcellous Jones and too many more to name.
Preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hubbard; Brother, Charles Edward Hubbard.
