Dorothy Jean Caraway Rucker entered into the greater glory of her Lord, Jesus Christ, on August 24, 2022, in Huntington, Texas. born May 8, 1929, she was 93 years old. A long-time resident of Alexandria, Louisiana, Dorothy Jean was retired from the Alexandria Independent School District and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Dorothy Jean is survived by her husband of 73 years, Harry S. Rucker, Jr of Heber Springs, Arkansas; son, Cliff (Judith) of Lufkin Texas, Roger ( Linda) Rucker of Edgemont, Arkansas; daughter Karen( Steven) Garner of Weatherford, Texas. Dorothy is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
No local services will be held. Private interment will take place at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
