Graveside for Dorothy Hartsfield,61, of Lufkin will be held Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hartsfield was born April 14, 1960, in Lufkin and died August 16, 2021, in Lufkin. Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary.
Dorothy Elaine Beck Hartsfield was born April 14, 1960, to the parentage of Billy Frank and Ivory Lee Holmes Beck, Sr, in Lufkin, Texas. She was raised in Lufkin, TX, and received her education and diploma from Lufkin High School, where she graduated from the Class of 1978.
Her most favorite time was spending it with her son Marc Anthony Drew. She loved being with family, and always being the life of the party.
At an early age, she joined the Church of Living God on Culverhouse. Later in life she moved to Houston, Texas, where she worked and took care of her son.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to son, Marc Anthony Drew, of Houston, Texas; father, Billy Beck Sr, of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Lesa Daniels, of Houston, Texas; two brothers: Calvin Holmes, of Lufkin, Texas; Billy Beck Jr (Sonya), of The Woodlands, Texas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and other family and friends. Special friends Jacqueline Ewing and Shena Nicks.
She is proceeded in death by mother: Ivory Lee Beck, grandmothers: Artie Tolbert and Mary Armstrong. Aunt, Ruby Taylor, uncles, Lawrence Armstrong, Gene Beck, Sr, Charles
