Dorothy Louise Henderson was born in 1928 in Dallas, TX and departed this life July 31, 2018 in Fort Worth, TX, surrounded by her loving family. She lived her life to live again with her heavenly Father.
Her celebration of life service will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, 2pm at Woods Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ in Lufkin, TX; Viewing at Colonial Mortuary, Lufkin, TX on August 7, 2018 from 6 to 8pm.
Mother Henderson was a member of Greater Gospel Kingdom COGIC in Fort Worth. Her faith was amazingly strong and she shared it with all who crossed her path. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope and love; the greatest of these is love.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents,Elder Norman Henderson and Esther Henderson; son, Tories; three siblings, Ray, Jewell and Joyce; niece, Phyllis and numerous beloved family members.
To cherish her memories, Dorothy is survived by her brother, Norman, Jr.; two daughters, Sundra and Pamela; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews (whom she treated as grandchildren) and a bountiful number of family cousins and friends. She truly made a difference to all she encountered.
