She attended school in the Trinity Community and later relocated to Lufkin, Texas, where she lived at Innovative Homes of Deep East Texas. She also worked at Innovative Homes. Dorothy attended church at Our Father's House of Faith and Hour of Power.
On August 27, 2023, Ms. Dorothy Elizabeth Simpson departed this life in Lufkin, Texas.
Ms. Simpson is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward and a sister, Addie B. Crawford.
