Memorial service for Elbert Davis Jr, 64 of Lufkin was born on May 31, 1958, and died on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Davis service will be held 11a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Cremation is under the direction Colonial Mortuary.
Elbert Davis Jr., was born on May 31, 1958 to the late Elbert Davis Sr. and Hazel Roberson in Lufkin, Texas.
Elbert Davis Jr. received his formal education from the Lufkin Independent School District, and was a graduate of Lufkin High School. He later attended Texas Southern University from which he graduated. He later became employed by the Lufkin Independent School District as a custodian from many years from which he retired. Elbert was a very private and kind hearted man who loved to make you laugh. He loved animals especially cats. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

His brothers, Robert L. Roberson and Curtis Roberson; A wealth of nieces nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Elbert Davis, Sr. and Hazel Roberson; A sister, Linda Kirksey; a brother, Fredrick Davis, and a nephew Thomas Kirksey.
