Service for Ms. Elizabeth Ann Houston, 57, formerly of Lufkin, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, Woods Memorial Temple Church, 230 Leach St, Lufkin Tx, 75904. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Ms. Houston was born November 21, 1964, in Lufkin, and died on July 7, 2022, in Austin.
Ms. Elizabeth Ann Houston was born on November 21, 1964, to the parentage of Oscar James Houston and Lucille (Terry) Houston in Lufkin, Texas. She was the fifth of nine children born to this union.
Elizabeth attended the Lighthouse School for the Blind in Austin, Texas, where she graduated in 1985.
Elizabeth was so touched by the education she received from Lighthouse, that she went back in 2001 to build and grow her career at multiple locations throughout Texas until her passing.
Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age. While residing in Lufkin, she was a faithful member of Woods
Memorial Temple COGIC, under the leadership of the late Superintendent Chester Robinson. While living in Austin, she attended Greater Holy Temple in Pflugerville, Texas.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lucille Houston, Her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her brother, Steve Houston.
