Funeral services for Mr. Elliott Gordon Jr, 87, of Lufkin is scheduled at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 Pine Street, in Diboll. Burial will follow in the Diboll Cemetery. Mr..Elliott Gordon, Jr., was born on May 21, 1936 in Hemphill, Texas. He was the first child born to the late Elliott Sr. and Willie Mae Gordon.
Elliott was raised and attended school in Diboll, Texas. After graduating, he began working for Temple Industries. His career there spanned for 45 years. Boss Man or Dudda as he was affectionately called, could be found with his hands always assigned to an entrpreneurial venture: lawn work, running cafes, game rooms, and hauling scrap metal.
He became actively involved in the church around the year of 2000, and could be found attending weekly brotherhood meetings, and singing in the male chorus.
Elliott was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Gordon; Brothers, Timothy and Henry L. Gordon; A sister, Annie M. Hunt and a son, Marlon Wayne.

Children: Son, Byron, Lufkin; Five daughters, Debra Dunn, Lufkin; Esma Gordon, Diboll; Angela and Natisha Gordon, Houston; Jacqueline Gordon, Las Vegas, Nevada. Grandchildren: Angel, Gloria, Alexis, Jarvis, Courtney, Kiera, SaDedric, Mark and Kala. A host of great-grandchildren; Three sisters, Alice Young (Roosevelt) Groveton; Barbara Gordon, Houston; Renée Hunter (C.D.), Beaumont; Three brothers, Wayne (Beverly) Spring; Willis (Monique) and Richard (Donna), Houston; Bonus children; Stanley, Stephen, Darrin, Sherri and Terri, and (Stephanie deceased).
