Memorial services for Elsie Beck, 60, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel.
Elsie Juanita Beck was born on October 24, 1962, in Lufkin, Texas, to the parentage of Gene Beck Sr., and Zenobia Beck.
Elsie resided in Lufkin, Texas during her lifetime, and attended the Lufkin Independent School District, graduating from Lufkin High School. She later attended Prairie View A&M University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree as a R.N. Nurse. Elsie had been employed by Stoneleigh Rehabilitation Center for twenty years plus. She was an avid reader, and her livelihood included her love for plants, crocheting and spending quality time with her family and friends.
On February 15, 2023, Elsie made her transition from her earthly life to her eternal life.
She leaves behind: her son, Michael Traylor and daughter, Antonette Traylor of Lufkin, Texas; Grandchildren, Everly Pope Il, Aria Pope, Lyla Pope and Nova Pope of Lufkin, Texas; Siblings: Eddie Matts, Gene Beck Jr., Larry Beck, Mary Cassett, Wonder Beck-Hall, Diana Wilson, Rowina Beck and Zenobra Beck of Lufkin, Texas; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Beck; Brother, Byron Beck; Six aunts and six uncles.
Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
