Services for Farris Deary, 92, of Nacogdoches will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Iron Wheel Baptist Church, 820 First St., Nacogdoches, TX. Burial will following the Watson Cemetery in Douglas, TX.
Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 13070 S. FM 225 in Douglas, TX.
Rest came to Mother Farris Deary, on Thursday morning the 13th of June, 2019. She was born in Douglass, Texas to the late Hadie and Sallie Ham.
In her younger days, she was a Cook and Pastry Chef for over fifteen years on the Alyeska Pipeline in Valdez, Alaska. She loved baking, however her passion on was singing, witnessing and talking about the Lord. Throughout her ninety two years on this earth, she live in Texas, California, Alaska, Nevada and Washington. She loved to sing and serve as Mother of her Church.
Mother Farris was preceded in death by: her father Hadie Ham; Mother, Sallie Ham; Husband, John Deary; Daughter, Jacqueline Gordon; Son-in-law, John Gordon; Brothers and their spouses, Johnny and Dorothy Ham, Woodroe and Irene Ham, Solomon Ham, Darris Ham, Hadie Jr. and Moye Ham; Sisters and their spouses, Ella Mae Skillern
Washington, Bert Skillern, Pre dennis Washington, Naomi and Theodus Davis, Jettie McElroy, Mattie and Isiah Tatum; Nieces and nephews, Monroe Ham, Roscoe Ham, Gloria Lee and Riley McElroy.
