Services for Freeman Holbert, 81, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the Church
By Christ Jesus, 1701 Sayers St. ,Lufkin, TX. at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial
Gardens in Lufkin. Visitation will be from 6 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Holbert Jr. was born March 27, 1933 to the late Freeman and Mary Artificial Holbert in Newton County, Texas. After leaving Newton County, Freeman moved to Lufkin, Texas where he met the love of his life, Mary Celestine Holbert. They were married on February 4, 1977 and this onion was blessed for 37 years. They were "one" and they loved each other dearly. At. the time of his death, Freeman Holbert Jr. was a member of the Believers of Faith Ministries. Freeman was a hard working and loving husband and father.
On Thursday January 8, 2015 Freeman transitioned peacefully into eternal rest. His father, mother, six brothers, four sisters and one son preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife,Mary L. Holbert,, sons; Clay O' Murphy Holbert California (Wanda), Freeman Holbert III (Elaine) of Ft. Worth, TX., Tommy Gene Holbert of Kirbyville, TX., brother: Booker T. Holbert (Ruby Lee), Sisters:
Juanita Vinson of Houston, TX. and Debra Ann Edison (Floyd Lee) of Pearland, TX. stepchildren:
Otis Cartwright (Gayle) of Denver, CO., Ray Cartwright (Pam) of Waxahatchie, TX., Bobby Cartwright (Stacie) of Houston, TX., Betty McGriff (Jeffery) of Arlington, Tx., Kerry Cartwright (Gail)
of Terrell, TX., Perry Cartwright (Preceded him in death) and Steven Cartwright (Karen) of Dallas, TX. Special granddaughter and grandson: Jacqueline and Pastor J'Maris Dixon; ahost of loved ones, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.
