Geneva Alexander's Obituary
Funeral services for Geneva Alexander, 78, of Lufkin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the West End Church of Christ, 2014 Cairo Street, Lufkin. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Geneva Alexander, was born on December 1 , 1945 in Little Rock Arkansas, to the late Mary and Charlie Jackson.
On February 7, 2024, Geneva departed her earthly life peacefully to began her journey through the Pearly Gates of Heaven.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior under the leadership of Pastor Willie Spikes at West End Church of God in Christ, where she remained a faithful member until her untimely health began to decline. But, despite of unforeseen circumstances, she remained faithful of worship and praising her Almighty Savior. Geneva cared for everyone she encountered. She worked as an employee for several Health Care Facilities. She was passionate and devoted to caring for her patients and treated everything she did with her genuine heart. This included loving and the care she provided for her children, grandchildren and all that she could keep in her care.
Geneva, married her loving, caring, "one of a kind, husband," Sidney Alexander at the age of 13. As they lived happily ever after, he most definitely was the rock to her soul, and she was his back bone.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her devoted children, three daughters, Ruby Alexander (Roy), Patricia (Harvey) Rusher and Tandrala Alexander all of Lufkin, Texas; One stepdaughter, Helen Smith; Four sons, Sidney (Sally) Alexander, Anthony (Melissa) Alexander, Aquille Alexander, David (Sabrina) Alexander all of Lufkin, Texas; four sisters, Arneter (Richmond) Johnson, Marilyn Jackson, Belinda (Jerry) Skiel, Rita Jackson all of Lufkin, Texas; Two brothers, Jimmy (Alice) Jackson, Jerry (Marilyn) Jackson all of Lufkin, Texas; One special sister-in-law (Best friend), Laura Jackson of Lufkin, Texas; Nineteen grandchildren; Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Geneva is preceded in death by: her parents, Mary and Charlie Jackson; Husband, Sidney Alexander; Two brothers, Charlie Jackson, Terry Jackson; One sister, Jeanette Taylor.
