Geoffrey Glenn Jones' Obituary
The funeral service for Geoffrey Glenn Jones, 52, of San Antonio will be held on November 23, 2024, at Colonial Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 P.M. The burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Jones died in San Antonio, TX on November 2, 2024.
Geoffrey Glenn Jones, was born on February 19, 1972, in St. Joseph Michigan, to the late Warnell and Eula Jones.
He was the sixth of six children: (Two girls and four boys.)
He accepted Christ at an early age and began attending a Baptist Church with his parents and siblings. Geoffrey attended Elementary School in Michigan and after relocating to Lufkin, Texas, he attended and was a graduate of Lufkin High School. After high School, Geoffrey enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from August 1991 to August 1994. He received an Honorable Discharge for his military service. Later he attended and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology. With this degree, he landed a job at University Health in San Antonio as a Laboratory Technician for several years. He would later get a federal service job with the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital, where he worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician for over I I years until his demise. He enjoyed family, researching topics on the internet, and cooking his own special recipes.
Geoffrey departed this life at the age of 52, and is preceded in death by: his parents, Warnell and Eula Jones; Sister, Jacquelyn Jones; Grandparents, Warren and Rhoda Barnes, Mamie Jones and Warnell Jones Sr; Three aunts and seven uncles.
