Grose Kiel Ill, the son ofGrose Il and Martha Lee Kiel was born on May 20, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas.
He attended and graduated from Dunbar High School with the Class of 1969. Later, he attended Angelina College where he obtained his Forklift Certificate. Grose was a very laid back and quiet man who loved his children and family and enjoyed being at home. During his marriage of 22 years to Regina in 1977, they became parents to Grose IV, the late Terrence Sr., and Glorunda. His livelihood included fishing, cooking, and his specialty being barbeque, watching sports, and taking care of his goats. You could find him hanging out the back of his truck where ever he was parked, enjoying the company of his longtime friends. He would be drinking something cold, and talking about any and everything, always ready to say something that would make you laugh with his calm but serious demeanor.
Grose had been employed at Louisiana Pacific after graduating from high school, and later began employment at Lufkin Industries, from which he retired 25 years later. He was a hardworking father who always provided for his family and ensured they had everything they needed and more. Grose took pride in his work and his family, and was always a positive role model for his children. He enjoyed watching his children grow, and was even more proud when he became a Papa. He has 4 grandsons and his pride ofjoy of a granddaughter, who kept him on his toes and could do no wrong. He would be sure to say something about each one of his grandsons when he saw them with their individual and unique styles., from there hair to the clothes they had on.
