The funeral service for Gwendolyn Johnson, 45 of Lufkin will be held at Woods Memorial Temple Church,230 Leach St, Lufkin, at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden.
Gwendolyn Jean Johnson, also known as "Ginny" was a shining star to all who knew her. She died on January 29, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas.
Gwendolyn was born on January 12, 1980, in Lufkin, Texas, to Roger V. Johnson and the late Carolyn A. Johnson. Gwendolyn attended Woods Memorial in Lufkin, Texas, where she found a source of comfort and strength that contributed to her spiritual growth.
Gwen is preceded in death by: her Son, Tarius; Mother, Carolyn; and Brothers, Cedric and Patrick.

She is survived by her Father, Roger V. Johnson, and Brothers, and Sisters: Kim (Sheila), Reginald (Karen), Diane (Bruce), Renea Wade, Roger (Kita), Jonathan, and Tony. A wealth of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
