James Alvin Lee was born February 4, 1968, to proud parents James and Margaret Lee. From this union, six children were born with Alvin being the baby and only boy. His sisters affectionately spoiled him until his death. After a lengthy illness, Alvin departed this life on July 21, 2021.
Alvin joined Ligon Chapel CME Church in Nigton, TX at a young age and remained a member until his death. As he got older, he strayed away from church but found his way back. Although he could not attend in person, he listened via zoom calls and spoke with Rev. Dean almost daily. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
He attended Apple Springs High School and graduated in the class of 1986. Alvin was an avid horseman and loved the outdoors. He trained and showed horses as a hobby and there was never a horse that he couldn't shoe. He was a mechanic by trade and could work on anything IF he wanted to.
Alvin had numerous jobs during his lifetime. He worked for Atkinson Candy, Lufkin State School, Pilgrim's Pride, and Temple-Inland. Alvin was a people person, who didn't meet a stranger. Although he was living in a long-term care facility, he still knew everything that was going on in the outside world. Siri became his best friend!
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Lee and sisters Elonda Lee and Carolyn White.
