Janie Lois Garner's Obituary
Services for Janie Garner, 72, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 Scarbrough, Lufkin, TX. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at
Colonial Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens.
She Received her formal education in Lufkin. Texas. Janie accepted
Christ at an early age. and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, later joining Simpson Chapel Baptist Church and where she was also a choir member. During her life she enjoyed taking care of family, fishing and playing bingo. Janie had been employed by Lufkin Industries for twenty plus years until she became disabled. On October 23, 1981 , Janie was united in Holy Matrimony to Aron Garner. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by: her husband, Aron Garner, Children; Belinda Wilson (Edward), Brenda Whitaker (Lionel), Patrick Mott (Jean), Nikkie Teal (Dewayne), Geralde Mott (Robin) , Tony Anders, Felice Johnson (Steve) and Foster Sawyer. Twentyfour grandchildren; nineteen great- grandchildren; a loving sister, Audie Johnson (O'Neal); sister- in-laws, Dixie Jones, Yverne Cox, Victoria Montgomery, Betty Cox, Creola Austin and Ovelia Coeman; a wealth of nieces and newphews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents ; daughter, Angelo Parks; brothers, Herbert Alvin, James and Thurman Davis; a sister, Kathran McFarland.
