To the family of Mrs. Jewel Brewer on behalf of Hazel Williams and her family, we offer our deepest gratitude and sincere prayers to you. We know that these are trying times and it is our prayer that God grants you the peace and understanding to make it though.

Great times were had as a child growing up and taking family vacation trips to Lufkin to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Fond memories are times spent at Uncle Willie & Aunt Jewel's house. I never will forget the sleepover Aunt Jewel arranged for us with some of Gloria's friends. We camped out on the living room floor, laughing and telling scary stories. Little Jewel always wanted to tag along, and Hosea would sneak in and try to scare us. If I remember correctly, there was a funeral home either across the street or down the street, and what better time than to get a group of giggling girls together for a sleepover and tell scary stories. I remember Judy was getting dressed to go out with friends that night, and I'm not sure where Michael was. (He was so fine and was probably out on a date himself. LOL) We had so much fun that night. Aunt Jewel reminded me a lot of my mother. You always felt at home and she'd make sure there was food to eat. She was wise and understanding to many things in the family. My mother made her transition to Heaven almost 13 years ago (October 19, 2004). I'd like to believe Mama was there to greet Aunt Jewel and they're having a grand ole time catching up and talking about how proud they are of their children as they smile down on us. I wish you happy memories my dear cousins Michael, Judy, Gloria and Little Jewel. Your mom and dad are together again and this time in the mansion they always dreamed of--Home with Jesus. Treasure the time you had with your mom and the memories, She is whole again! I love you and miss you. Be boldly blessed! -- Your cousin, Debbi Roberts (Champaign, Illinois)

To the Brewer Family just want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you with the departure of your mother. She was a lovely lady and may God comfort you. Mozell & Family
