Jeweline was the second child born to the late Isom Boyer and Celie Roberts Boyer in San Augustine, Texas.
From a young age, she professed her faith in Christ at Perkins Baptist Church in San Augustine, Texas, where she and her family faithfully attended. Perkins Baptist is also where she received the majority of her formal education. As a young woman, she united with Rolland Hunt in Holy Matrimony on December 28, 1947. Shortly after they were wed, they relocated to Lufkin, TX, for better opportunity, and from their union, bore five children.
In Lufkin, she was a devoted member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church. During her 60 plus years of servitude, Jeweline sang in the choir, served on the culinary committee, as deaconess, and eventually honored as mother of the church. She was also an active participant of the Saint John Community Church and reunion committee. For over 20 years, well into her late 80's, she participated in workdays to clean the church, as well as in the coordination, preparation and serving of food for reunion Sunday.
While we knew her to be a full-time mother, grandmother, and caretaker, she spent many years working for Pluss Tex Poultry, and ultimately retiring from Mother's Helper. In her time outside of work and motherhood, she was a member of the Eastern Stars, and found great joy in sewing, planting in the garden, cooking, singing hymns, and shopping.
In the early hours of September 14th, 2022, she quietly passed away at her place of residence.
