Pastor Jimmy L. Hadnot, Sr. was born December 12, 1944, to the parentage of Vera Rawls and A. T. Hadnot in Jasper, Texas.
He later moved to Lufkin, Texas, and attended the Lufkin Independent School District, graduating from Dunbar High School with the Class of 1963. In 1965, he enlisted into the United States Navy and served until 1971. He had been employed by Lufkin Industries, from which he retired after over twenty-three years of employment. From an early age, he attended New Zion Baptist Church with his family. In 1975, he was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost under Mother Bessy Everidge. He later met and married Jessie L. Jackson of Nacogdoches, Texas in 1977. He faithfully served at God's Prayer Revival Center, even building a Fellowship Hall for the church while a member there. He thought he was destined to be a deacon, but the Lord decided otherwise by calling him into Ministry. Pastor Hadnot was yoked with Bishop Alfonce Hodge, Sr. He served there as Assistant Pastor of The Christ Sanctified and Holy Church of Lufkin; (Now named Hodge Memorial Christ Sanctified & Holy Church) until Bishop Hodge's passing. He later served as Pastor of Hodge Memorial for a brief period of time, as well as the Pastor of the Sister Church in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1990, he came under the leadership of the late Superintendent Noble Cooper, Sr., who always referred to Pastor Hadnot as a "family man." He was appointed Pastor of the Noble Temple COGIC by Superintendent Cooper and later appointed Pastor of the Pentecostal Temple COGIC, where he faithfully served for the past seventeen years. He proudly shared with others his carpentry skills and built several Altars for God's people to kneel in prayer. More importantly, he shared his love for Christ with all who would listen, as well as those who would not. He was a man who cherished his family, loved structure, demanded order, and practiced punctuality.
On April 16, 2024, God in His infinite wisdom deemed it befitting to transition him from labor to reward.
