Services for Jo Ann ( Dukes) Fields, 74, of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. The visitation will be Saturday morning from 8 a.m., to 10:30 a.m., Mrs. Fields was born on September 5, 1947, in Nacogdoches, and died Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Lufkin. Jo Ann Dukes Fields, 74 and was born in Nacogdoches to Arthur & Drothy Bruton on September 5, 1947, and resided in Lufkin, Tx.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Drothy Bruton, her husband William Fields, and her grandson Jarrick Hageon.
JoAnn was a bright light that shined on everyone she met. Her job of choice was always helping others at hospitals, nursing homes, group homes, etc. Jo Ann had the most beautiful smile and a laugh that was simply contagious. She was loved by so many people. Jo Ann was called home on a day filled with love, laughter, and lots of fun with family and loved ones. Our dear mother left her mark on this world, one that will never be forgotten. To know her is to love her.
Thank you to everyone for the continued love and prayers; Everything and everyone is genuinely appreciated. Thank you to Larkspur and Hospice of the Pines for taking care of our mother in the times in which we could not. We are forever thankful for that.
