John Freeman's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. John Freeman,90, will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lily Island Missionary Baptist Church, 1674 Lily Island Loop, Moscow, TX. Burial will follow in the Lily Island Cemetery.
Mr. John Freeman was born to the parentage of the late Burdette and Lizzie Freeman in Camden, Texas on August 16, 1933, the youngest of six children who preceded him in death.
Mr. Freeman received his formal education from the Camden Public School District. In his early twenties, Mr. Freeman joined the United States Army, and served for two years. Upon returning home, he met and married the late Stella (Moore) Freeman on February 25, 1960.To this union five children were born. They later moved to Lufkin, Texas, where he became employed at Texas Foundry and Louisiana Pacific. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
On April 23, 2024, Mr. John Freeman made his transition from his Earthly Home to his Eternal Home.

His children, Genora Freeman, John Freeman, Jr., Vera Freeman (Terry Session), and Gloria Freeman all of Lufkin, Texas; One daughter, Mary Freeman who preceded him in death; Four grandchildren, Demetrick, Stellema, Treasure, and Amanda; Two greatgrandchildren; A wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended relatives and friends.
