John L. Taylor's Obituary
Services for John L. Taylor, 69, of Crockett, TX. will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
in the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Crockett, TX. Burial will follow in the Giles - Huntley Cemetery in Crockett. Mr. Taylor will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. till time of services at the church.
On December 6, 1945, Jessie and Ruteen Taylor were blessed with a handsome baby boy whom they named John L. Taylor. He attended school in the Center Grove community. John was employed as a rancher at the Blair Ranch. He was joined in marriage to Mary Ellis on Dec. 9, 1988. John L. Taylor received his angel wings from his savior on July 17,2015 in Tyler, TX. at the Potters House surrounded by loved ones.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ruteen; two brothers, Artis B. and Jessie James Taylor; and two sisters, Marlene Williams and Ollie May Taylor. and son, Cannon Ellis.
John leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife of nearly 30 years, Mary Taylor; sisters; Jamie Lee Wiley, Jessie Marie Gilford, Dorothy Lee Duncan of Houston, TX.; Albertine Taylor of Houston, TX.; Ruth Handy (J. C.), Shirley Horace (Earl) of Lufkin, TX.; brother Jesse Taylor of Arizona; daughters Treshenia aCoeTieaC Truscott (Chad), Schronda McKnight of College Station, TX.,Theresa Willis (Michael) of Victorville, CA., Jamie Ellis of Tyler, TX.; Sons:
Reginald Creag and Tommy Lee Ervin of Hollywood, CA.; grandchildren: Tiara Marshall, Quincy Willis, Mikel Willis, JaNiya Hart, Alex McKnight, Aston Creag, Lavence McKnight, Ylanz Delane, Kwinyana Truscott, Chadwick Truscott,Jr.; great granddaughter YaC Yahna Delane and a host of relatives. Special friends: John and Dorothy Johnson; Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Thacker,and Shelton & Leola Fortenberry.
