John W. Wade's Obituary
Service for Mr. John Wade 70, of Huntington will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Goodwill Baptist Church, 812 E. Lufkin Ave. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m., till 7 p.m., at Goodwill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mt. Cemetery in San Augustine, Tx.
Mr. John William Wade was born on January 6, 1953, in San Augustine, Texas, to the late Jarsh and Polly Wade.
John confessed his belief in Christ at an early age at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church in San Augustine, Texas. He rededicated his life to Christ and became a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop M.E. Lyons. John attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in San Augustine, Texas with the Class of 1971. John Wade (Big John) married Belinda Neal, April 23, 1982. He told his best friend Nathaniel after meeting her, "that's going to be my next wife." He told her John you're crazy you just met that woman, and they were married for 40 years. John retired from Lufkin Industries after 30 years of Service. He was a hardworking man that loved his family. He was a leader and a very outspoken person.
John has been a true fighter, after being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2009. He always sides he was going to fight till the end and that he did. He went in peace on February 19, 2023, at his home.

Special thanks to his "BROTHERS" at Nate ' s Detail: Nathaniel Blackburn, Anthony Thomas, John Brown, Weaver, Lucious Wade, " Pookie " Jenkins and anyone that stopped at Nate's Detail or that had contact with Big John. He enjoyed getting up every day to go get his "Therapy," and hated to be late!!!
