Graveside services for Josie Goff,80, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020, in the New Center Prospect Cemetery in Pollok, Tx. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7 p.m.at Colonial Mortuary. Mrs. Goff was born on April 1, 1940, in Jasper, and died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in Lufkin.
Ms. Josie Faye Ward-Goff was born on April l, 1940 in Jasper, Texas to the parentage of Josie Felt and Florestein Ward.
Josie started life in Jasper, Texas. She received her formal education from the Lufkin and Jasper Independent School Districts. Josie was a Licensed Beautician before she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Memorial Hospital and the Lufkin State School. She became a member of the Church of Christ at an early age. Before her demise, she became a member of the Union Road Church of Christ.

She leaves behind those she loved dearly: Her children, Charles A. Ashworth, Ruby A. Ash, Dalton R. Ashworth (Essie), Eva D. Ashworth, Flora J. Ashworth, Tracy L. Ashworth all residing in Lufkin, Texas, and Beverly Goff and Ronald Goff (Stepchildren).
Grandchildren, Major Chasitie R. Ashworth (California), Jonathan R. Hadnot Jr. (Kathryn), Rosaline T. Ash, Joseph R. Hadnot (Ashleigh), Wesley B. Ash, JaColby R. Ashworth (Whitney), Josie F. Wingfield, Jonita R. Ashworth, James R.L. Green, Kerrington R. Caldwell (SHSU), Dalton R. Ashworth Jr. and Essie R. Ashworth II, Debraccus Goff, and Dushon Goff;
Siblings, Zera L. Ward (Lufkin), Thomas M. Ward ( Auian), (Houston), and Jesse F. Ward (Julia), (Louisiana).
In addition a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, and nieces, whom she loved very dearly; Special Pet, "PRINCESS"•
Special Friends, David and Lyska Gordon, Marva Ruth and Vanessa Cook (cousin).
Josie was preceded in death by: Parents, Josie Felt and Florestein Ward; Sister, Georgia Mae Edwards; Grandson, Joshua Reuben Lee Hadnot; Aunt, Ellerstene Woods; Cousins, Annie Laura Woods, Rosie Bell Ward and Frank Paul Majors.
