Karen Denise Lee affectionately called Fattie, was born on October 23, 1973, in Lufkin, Texas to Norris and Carrietta Lee.
She was reared in Lufkin and attended the Lufkin Independent School District, graduating with the Class of 1992. Karen joined First Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. When she came to know Christ for herself, she rededicated her life to him. She was called Fattie by her family and many friends. Fattie kept a smile on her face and was a very kindhearted individual, who would give you the shirt off her back. If you were her friend, she would let you know it or not. She had been employed by Sanderson Farms in Palestine, Texas, and she loved her job. Even as her health began to fail, she continued to push herself to go until she just couldn't do it any longer. Karen is the mother of two beautiful daughters and a grandmother to four children whom she loved dearly and deeply. She will be missed by her family and many dear friends.
