Kasandra Malone's Obituary
Services for Kasandra Malone, 60, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 109 Linn St., Huntington, TX. Burial will follow in the Philgram Cemetery in Huntington, TX.
Kasandra Regina Malone, was born in Lufkin, on December 4, 1965 to the late James Mattox Jr. & Elsie Malone who was married to the late Tommy Dennis. Kasandra peacefully departed life on earth on January 4, 2026.
Kasandra's road to life began with the foundation of education at Huntington Independent School District, and from there she chose to attend Stephen F. Austin State University to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services. Her nurturing spirit led her to choose a career to assist the elderly, disabled individuals, and those with intellectual disabilities. Her career path fueled her passion to expand her knowledge and to further her education. This passion gave Kasanadra the desire to obtain a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Her education afforded her the opportunity to obtain employment as an APS Specialist at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. After leaving this position, Kasandra joined the Burke family where she ended her career as a Clinical Coordinator this past year. Her time spent helping others, being dedicated to her work, and loving her family was what made Kasandra who she was, an outstanding friend, a hard worker, and an exceptional example to humankind.
Kasandra's spiritual journey began early at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Huntington, Texas.
Where she led songs in the choir, while her mother displayed her love for music as a pianist. Later in life, she became a proud member of Bountiful Blessings Ministries. She remained a member at this ministry until her passing.
She is preceded in death by her Mother Elsie Malone Dennis, Step-Father Tommy Dennis, Father James Mattox Jr., a host of Aunts and Uncles, and two special cousins Valerie Jackson and Patsy Hartsfield.
Kasandra is survived by her son Blake (Lindsay) Malone, her daughter Kennedi Elyss Smith, grandson Liam Greggory Malone, granddaughter Aubrey Lynne Malone. Her brother Donald (Sharon) Jones Sr., niece LaKesha Jones Williams and a special friend and companion Hubert Douglas.
Her love will continue to be felt by a host of cousins, family members, and friends.
