Kent Bivin's Obituary
Memorial services for Kent De La Fosse Bivin are scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel.
Kent Bivin was born in Lufkin, Texas graduating from Lufkin High School in 1959. He then received his Bachelor Degree from Steven F. Austin State University and continued his studies at U.T. Kent had been employed by Lufkin Industries in 1965, later relocating to Houston, Texas working for U.S. Steel. He later opened his own Steel Fabrication Business. Struggling the recession in the 80's, he relocated to Kenner, Louisiana where he worked in construction for several years. He then moved to Pawtucket Rhode Island and in 2005 came back to Lufkin, Texas to retire. Kent lived out his days at Inverness Retirement Community. He was an avid coin collector and a talented artist. He loved good food and company. He will be greatly missed.

Komma Jr. (Lisa Francesconi) of Rhode Island; Daughter, Melissa Cockerham of Lufkin; Granchildren, Brittney Raye Dodson of and Chase Smith of Montana, Dale Komma of Rhode Island, Gillian Pleau and Devon Bivin of Massachusetts; Two great-grandchildren.
