Kevin Kegler's Obituary
Funeral service for Kevin Kegler, 52, of Lufkin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 6,2021, in the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church located on 812 E. Lufkin Ave, Lufkin, Tx 75901. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Mr. Kegler was born on February 14,1969, in Lufkin, and died on Friday, 29,2021, in Lufkin.
Mr. Kevin Kendall Kegler was born on February 14, 1969 to the late Mary Jo Kegler. Shortly afterwards, Walter and Oskarine Kegler became the proud parents of a little boy affectionately called, "Punkin."
Kevin resided in Lufkin, Texas, and was the proud parent of two beautiful daughters, Breasia and Kaliyah Kegler. His livelihood consisted of his serving in the United States Air Force, and working in the Pulpwood Business with his father. After working with his father in the Pulpwood Business, he had become and adult and began employment with the Pepsi Bottling Company, where he remained until his demise, for a period of twenty one years. Punkin loved to cook and barbecue. He was the King of barbecue . Kevin was religiously affiliated with Goodwill Baptist Church. He joined under the leadership of Pastor Amos Horton, later under the leadership of the late Andrew Berry: Serving as, an usher, choir member, and an Armor Bearer to the Pastor. At the time of his passing, he was still a member of Goodwill Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop M.E. Lyons. Punkin was a people person and loved being with his family and friends. He always was willing to help anyone. He loved his family dearly.
On October 29, 2021, Kelvin Kendall Kegler made his transition to his Heavenly home.
He is preceded in death by: His father, Walter Roy Kegler and his biological mother, Mary Jo Kegler.
Left to cherish his memories: His daughters, Breasia Kegler and Kalihay Kegler, and his mother, Oskarine Kegler all of Lukfkin; Sisters, Crystal Mark of Clute, Tonie Smallwood, Darlene Smallwood, Lisa Rodgers of Lufkin; Brother, Orlandos and Roderick Wiley of Lufkin, Texas. A A wealth of nices, nephews, cousins, and close friends. A special friend, Qotyia Runnels.
