Service for Kevin Pendland, 42 of Lufkin is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Pendland was born on March 4, 1980, in Lufkin, and died on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in Kenedy, TX. Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
Kevin Duane Pendland, Sr., was born on March 4, 1980, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Shelton Eugene Pendland and Cheryl Lynn Pendland.
Kevin was baptized at an early age and became a long-time member of First Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Lufkin High School in Lufkin, Texas in 1999. He also was a member of the Lufkin High School Varsity Basketball Team His employment included working for Moore Brothers Construction for a short period of time in Lufkin.
Kevin lived and enjoyed his life to the fullest up until he became ill. On February 8, 2023, Kevin Duane Pendland, Sr. joined our Heavenly Father.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Shelton Eugene Pendland and Cheryl Lynn Garrett Pendland; Grandparents: Glover and Marie Pendland, Clifford and Juanita Garrett; Aunt, Nila Faye Garrett.
Kevin leaves to cherish his precious memories with four children: Sha 'Keyia Qunshay Pendland, Kevin Duane Pendland, Jr., Ja'Rayvjon Wayna Runnels and Zariah Zonique Pendland, all of Lufkin, Texas; six grandchildren, Dinero Kewon Mosby, Da' Mani Za'Khirann Mosby, Da'Vani La'Rayvjon Mosby, Zamariaun Duane Thomas, Zen 'Layiah Zonique Carpenter; Sisters, Chandra Lynn Pendland Rawls (Shannon), Cheryl Denisha Pendland; Brothers, Derrick DeWayne Pendland (Becky), Reginald Eugene Pendland, Terrence Jarrod Garrett, Ja Boskey Ramone Garrett; Aunts, Sheila Pendland Mark, Diedre Roundtree, Bobbie Gene; Uncles, Anthony Pendland, Ronald Garrett (Yvette), Donald Garrett, Curtis Garrett (Stacey), and Ritche Garrett; A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
