Services for Komekia Hooper, 42, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Impact Outreach Ministries, 440 FM 2021 Lufkin, TX.
KoMekia was born in Fort Riley Kansas on January 4, 1977 to Kathy and Jerry Hooper. She attended schools in Kansas, Dallas, and Houston. She completed her educational career as a graduating senior of Barbara Jordan High School where she was a proud member of ROTC. She later moved to Lufkin where she raised her family working in food service, & serving in churches as Sunday School teachers, Ushers, and a choir member until her health begin to fail.
KoMekia joined Community Temple under the leadership of Bishop Shepard at a young age in Houston and where she diligently served the Lord.
KoMekia was a loving and strong willed person. She loved her children and grandchild more than anything and enjoyed spending time with her family, eating good food, and praising the Lord. She was a strong woman of her faith and fought a good fight until the Lord called her to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by her children, siblings, mom, family, and friends.
Komekia will now join her family that passed on before her: Brother Jerry Jermaine Hooper, Maternal grandparents Minnie Ann & Robert Lee Page, Nephew SirReginald Malone, Aunts LaKita Page, Lavanna Bussey, Juanita Young, & Gladys Simon, Uncle Kennith Ray Page, and a host of other relatives and friends.
KoMekia leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Montreal Hooper, Darius Randolph, and DaMarquise Garner, Mother Kathy Page Hooper, Granddaughter Katrinna Randolph, Sisters Crystal Hooper, DeAndria Hooper, LaShay Hooper & T'Cambria Page, Brothers Shannon Hooper, DeAndre Hooper, & Rodney
